Oscar®-nominated producer Jennifer Fox will return to produce the 15th Governors Awards for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Academy President Janet Yang announced today. It is her sixth time producing the event.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, in partnership with Universal Music Group’s (UMG) Task Force for Meaningful Change (TFMC), Mercury Studios, Universal Music Publishing Group Classics and Screen, Decca Records and UMG’s Globe, today announced the second year of the Jonas Gwangwa Music Composition Initiative, a career development program for Black musicians interested in composing music for film.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has voted 14 students as winners of the 49th Student Academy Awards® competition. This year, the Student Academy Awards competition received a total of 1,796 entries from 614 colleges and universities around the world. The 2022 winners join the ranks of such past Student Academy Award® winners as Patricia Cardoso, Pete Docter, Spike Lee, Patricia Riggen and Robert Zemeckis.

With a focus on expertise in live television event production, Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment have been named executive producers of the 95th Oscars®, Academy CEO Bill Kramer announced today. For the eighth consecutive year, Weiss also will direct the show, which will air live on ABC and broadcast outlets worldwide on Sunday, March 12, 2023. It will be Weiss’s second time and Kirshner’s first time producing the Oscars.
