ACADEMY MUSEUM OF MOTION PICTURES APPOINTS BILL KRAMER AS DIRECTOR

Bill Kramer has been named director of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the museum’s Board of Trustees announced today. Kramer, who served as managing director of development and external relations of the Academy Museum from 2012 to 2016, will take the reins as the institution’s new leader on January 1, 2020, guiding its artistic and cultural vision and overseeing the final phase of the museum’s completion.

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures today announced the appointment of Katharine DeShaw as its Managing Director, Advancement and External Relations.
Beginning on November 1, DeShaw will direct all aspects of fundraising, including completion of the $388 million capital campaign to support the new Museum, now under construction.

Gale Anne Hurd, Gerald Schwartz And Heather Reisman, And The Simms/Mann Family Foundation Each Donate $5 Million To The Academy Museum
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced today that it has received three $5 million naming gifts from producer and Academy Governor Gale Anne Hurd; philanthropist and CEO of Onex Gerald Schwartz and his wife Heather Reisman; and the family of the iconic film exhibitor Ted Mann—Victoria Mann Simms (Ted Mann's daughter), her husband Ron Simms and their family.
Kerry Brougher Named Director Of Academy Museum Of Motion Pictures

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has appointed Kerry Brougher as director of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Brougher brings to the role three decades of curatorial, fundraising, leadership and planning expertise, most recently with the Smithsonian Institution, where he served as interim director and chief curator of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C.
Brougher, who has already led a number of creative workshops for the Academy Museum, will report to Academy CEO Dawn Hudson.
