Strand Releasing is a motion picture distribution company formed in 1989 by Marcus Hu and Jon Gerrans, with the goal of distributing art films both theatrically and in the home video market. The collection, which first came to the Academy in 2002, currently includes DVDs, trailers for over 130 different films, and prints of over 50 different titles, including “Lawn Dogs” (1997), “Psycho Beach Party” (2000), and “Mysterious Skin” (2005).
