Kit Parker Films, founded in 1971 as a 16mm non-theatrical film library, later grew into a 35mm theatrical distributor of major studio classics, silent films, and specialty films. The Kit Parker Collection arrived at the Academy Film Archive starting in 2002 and has been an ongoing acquisition ever since. The collection consists of over 1400 items.
The film material at the Academy Film Archive is complemented by material in the Kit Parker collection at the Academy’s Margaret Herrick Library.
