Award winning director of photography, Ellen Kuras is most known for her contributions to the world of cinematography. Kuras is amongst a handful of female cinematographers belonging to the American Society of Cinematographers. The Archive’s collection includes prints of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind” (2004), which is considered one of Kuras’ most well-known collaboration with Michel Gondry. Since 2017, the Archive has housed over half a dozen items related to Ellen Kuras including “Blow” (2001), “Personal Velocity” (2002), and the Academy Award® nominated documentary, “The Betrayal (Nerakhoon)” (2008), which is considered Kuras’s directorial debut.
