John Singleton’s fourth directorial effort, Rosewood, was his first project from a script by another writer. Gregory Poirier‘s screenplay is based on the events of the 1923 Rosewood Massacre in Florida, during which a white lynch mob, roused by false accusations, attacked and destroyed an African-American town.
Rosewood will screen on 35mm. Running time 142 min.
