Moving image storytelling remains a fundamentally collaborative art form, and developments in science and technology continue to impact every aspect of the moviemaking process, including stunts.

"Real to Reel" explores how stunt artists collaborate with creative teams and utilize emerging technologies to help create complex movie stunts that would have never before been possible.

Using scenes from films including "The Matrix" (1999), "Transformers" (2007), "Alice in Wonderland" (2010), "Real Steel" (2011), "Warrior" (2011), "Skyfall" (2012), "The Master" (2012), "Kill Bill: Vol. 2" (2004) and "Iron Man 3" (2013), "Real to Reel" will illustrate how technology is expanding cinematic possibilities for stunt artists. The night will include live demonstrations, behind-the-scenes footage and conversations with some of the films' creative teams, who will discuss how scenes were created.

Host Garrett Warren was a martial artist before launching his on-screen career. He has served as stunt coordinator on such features as "Beowulf" (2007), "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" (2009), "Avatar" (2009), "Alice in Wonderland" (2010), "Real Steel" (2011) and "Lincoln" (2012). He has also worked as a second unit director on titles such as "Larry Crowne" (2011), "Limitless" (2011) and "Here Comes the Boom" (2012). Most recently, he was the stunt coordinator and second unit director on the upcoming films "Ender's Game" and "Divergent." He is currently working on the sequel to "Avatar."
