The Academy celebrated the nominated films and filmmakers in this evening spotlighting the Animated Short Film and Live Action Short Film categories. This year’s selection of animated films demonstrated a remarkable variety of filmmaking techniques, including computer-generated imagery and stop-motion as well as traditional animation. The live action films are an international group, with films hailing from England, France, Israel, Northern Ireland and Switzerland. Our event featured a screening of all 10 nominated shorts in their entirety, as well as discussions with all of the nominated filmmakers.
