NICHOLL FELLOWSHIPS IN SCREENWRITING AWARDS & LIVE READ

There will also be a STAND-BY LINE at the west doors  (closest to Almont Dr.) with  Stand-by numbers given out starting at approximately 5:30 pm. The number of Stand-by tickets available (if any) will be determined shortly before the start of the program.

This event honors the winners of the 2019 Academy Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting competition. For the seventh consecutive year, the event also will include a live read of selected scenes from the fellows’ winning scripts. This global competition aims to identify and encourage talented new screenwriters. Each winner will receive a $35,000 prize, the first installment of which will be distributed at the awards presentation.

Amandla Stenberg, Rosa Salazar, Wes Studi and Tyrese Gibson will join us for the Nicholl Live Read, directed by 2016 Nicholl fellow Geeta Malik.

The ceremony is free and open to the public, but advance tickets are required.
