Directions

The Archive is located in the heart of Hollywood at the Academy’s Pickford Center for Motion Picture Study.

The Pickford Center is located at the northwest corner of Vine Street and Fountain Avenue in Hollywood, two blocks south of Sunset Boulevard and five blocks from the Red Line station at Hollywood and Vine. Eastbound and westbound MTA buses on Sunset Boulevard routes stop at Sunset and Vine, walking distance from the Archive.

From 101 Freeway Southbound:
Take the Vine Street exit and proceed south on Vine past Sunset Boulevard. Take the second right onto Homewood Avenue; the entrance to the Pickford Center parking lot will be the first driveway on the left.

From 101 Freeway Northbound:
Take the Sunset Boulevard exit and bear right. Drive west on Sunset Boulevard and turn left onto Vine Street.

From 10 Freeway, Eastbound or Westbound:
Take the La Brea Boulevard exit and drive north on La Brea to Sunset Boulevard. Turn right on Sunset, then right onto Vine Street.

The Archive will be closed on the following dates in 2024:

Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday, January 15)
Memorial Day (Monday, May 27)
Independence Day holiday (Thursday, July 4)
Labor Day (Monday, September 2)
Thanksgiving (Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29)
Christmas/New Year’s (Tuesday, December 24, 2024 through Wednesday, January 1, 2025)
