MEDIA CREDENTIALS
Applications for press credentials for the 81st Annual Academy Awards will be available on Monday, October 13, 2008.

Applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. PT on Monday, November 10, 2008. We are not able to accept late applications.

Applications are available ONLY to media outlets registered on the Academy's Press List. If you have not already registered, you may do so at: http://presslist.oscars.org

NEW THIS YEAR: If your outlet is approved for credentials, copies of the valid, government-issued ID (driver's license, passport or government issued ID card) that is required for every individual to receive a credential must be submitted in advance. The copies may be submitted in any of the following formats: JPEG file, PDF file, or color photocopy.

Valid IDs should be scanned at 100% at 300 dpi. The individual's photo must be clear, all ID numbers must be easily read.

All files should be named "Outlet_LastName.ext." For example, John Smith from the Stoneham Sun would submit an image called "StonehamSun_Smith.jpg."

All credential recipients must be at least 18 years old.

TRANSCRIPTS

Transcripts of all Oscar® winners’ onstage acceptance speeches and backstage interviews at the 81st Academy Awards will be distributed via e-mail AS THEY ARE RELEASED on Sunday, February 22, 2009 (the night of the telecast.) Each transcript will be distributed via e-mail once. Those who submit their subscription request after the telecast has begun will receive only the transcripts released thereafter.
