The Dennis Hopper Trust Collection, representing Hopper’s directorial efforts, came to the Archive in 2000. Holdings include 35mm prints of “The Last Movie” (1971), “Colors” (1988), “Backtrack” the director’s cut of “Catchfire” (1990), which Hopper helmed under the Alan Smithee handle. Additionally, the Archive has processed numerous elements, including original picture and track negatives from “The Last Movie” (1971), Hopper’s legendary follow-up to his directorial debut, “Easy Rider” (1969).
