Acme Filmworks is an award-winning animation production studio that has been depositing animated shorts at the Academy Film Archive since 2005. This acquisition consists of video and film elements, the breadth of which includes: commercials, short films, feature films, music videos, title sequences, and interactive media. The collection consists of over 100 titles, 39 of which are Academy Award nominated or winning films. Additionally, numerous preservation projects have stemmed from this collection, resulting in nearly 20 restored or preserved films. Notable films include “The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Lessmore” (2011), “La Luna” (2011), “Oktapodi” (2007), and “9” (2005).
