Members Memoriam

The members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences are the organization's greatest asset, an assemblage of the finest artists and craftspersons of the art form.

The Academy Award itself, perhaps the best-known symbol of excellence in the world, holds that stature because it is voted by those who know best the role of each participant in the "collaborative art."

On this page the Academy lists those members who have died since February 1, 2008, and notes any Academy Awards or nominations (Win indicated by an asterisk (*). Service on the Academy's Board of Governors is also indicated.
